Kate Middleton And Prince William Preparing Home For First Child

Kate Middleton is reportedly preparing for her first royal baby. Insiders say the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hope to welcome their first child next year, so they plan to make an apartment in Kensington Palace family friendly. The $1.5 million renovation will be finished by next summer.

“Kate is keen to put her stamp on the place with things she’s bought on her travels. She felt certain pieces would be nice ‘when we have a bigger home,’” a source tells Us Weekly magazine.

With four floors and 20 rooms, the apartment will be big enough for a growing family. “A baby is the main reason for the move,” an insider claims.

“It’s time for the next step — Kate is hoping she and William can become parents in 2013,” another source says.

Middleton and Prince William have been at the center of constant pregnant rumors since tying the knot in April 29, 2011. Both have expressed their desire to start a family in the future.

Lindsay Lohan Charged With Lying To Police

Legal issues just keep piling up for Lindsay Lohan. Hours after the actress was arrested for assault in New York City, California prosecutors charged her with three misdemeanors in a June 8th car accident. Lohan is accused of lying to police about who was behind the wheel of her Porsche when it collided with a dump truck on Pacific Coast Highway. Lohan told officers her assistant was driving at the time of the crash, but an investigation determined that it was actually Lohan who was in the driver’s seat.

The Liz and Dick star has been charged with reckless driving, providing false information and obstructing or resisting a police officer. The charges could result in a judge finding Lohan in violation of the terms of her probation in a 2011 jewelry theft case. Lohan could receive up to 245 days in jail for probation violation.

Lohan is also facing an assault charge in New York. She was arrested early this morning after allegedly punching 28-year-old Tiffany Eve Mitchell at Manhattan’s Avenue nightclub. According to reports, the incident happened after Lohan and Mitchell exchanged words. Lohan is said to have asked Mitchell for space. An insider said Lohan then sat down briefly, but got back up and punched Mitchell. Mitchell called police.

As Lohan was being handcuffed she reportedly said, “Oh my God! I didn’t touch anyone!”

Beth Hart Returns with Bang Bang Boom Boom

Beth Hart, armed with one of the most unique and heart-wrenching voices of the 21st century, and a backstory packed with incredible opportunities and lamentable loss, will return with a new album, Bang Bang Boom Boom, on April 9, 2013 (Provogue Records/Mascot Label Group).

Produced by Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Joe Bonamassa, Jimmy Page/The Black Crowes, Dream Theater), Bang Bang Boom Boom features eleven stunning blues, cabaret, rock, jazz and soul-influenced tracks, all written by Hart and recorded live at Shirley’s Malibu, CA studio in early 2012. Bang Bang Boom Boom is a life-changing endeavor for the Los Angeles-born singer, songwriter and musician, who brought her life experiences, both positive and negative, together for what one European outlet called “a career-defining album.”

“We’ve covered a gamut of styles on this record,” said Shirley, “and it explores what Beth loves to sing. There are some jazzy influences and some hard rock influences, even some vaudeville in there. We’ve got a little bit of reggae, and some songs that are reminiscent of that West Coast sound of Tom Petty or the Eagles. I think she’s made a classic album, it’s really amazing.”

For the Bang Bang Boom Boom recording sessions, Shirley assembled a extraordinary group of musicians: long-time “Late Show with David Letterman” drummer Anton Fig (Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen), bassist Michael Rhodes (the Dixie Chicks, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill), keyboardist Arlan Schierbaum (Joe Bonamassa, John Hiatt), guitarist Randy Flowers (Meat Loaf, Wynonna Judd), and drummers Curt Bisquera (Josh Groban, Mick Jagger, Elton John) and Herman Mathews (Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Celine Dion).

Bang Bang Boom Boom gives Hart’s eclectic influences free rein, spinning from the brassy gospel of “Spirit Of God” to the sparse “Thru The Window Of My Mind,” with her first-ever piano solo on “Swing My Thing Back Around,” and an impossibly tender vocal on the Billie-Holiday-flavored “Baddest Blues.”

Beth Hart’s story is one of intense highs and extreme lows. In the late 90s, she was on the cusp of a promising music career, signed to a major label, with national television bookings, hit singles, and great press, but her career careened out of control due to her substance abuse. Healthy, happy and substance-free now for nearly a decade, Hart has rebuilt her career one brick at a time, touring extensively in the UK and Europe, playing bigger and bigger venues each time, scoring hit singles and critically-acclaimed albums, while watching the buzz grow. Recent musical alliances with artists from Jeff Beck to Slash to Joe Bonamassa have helped cement her ongoing comeback, and the North American release of Bang Bang Boom Boom is the next step on her road to redemption.

“I was so nervous before we began recording,” admitted Beth. “But once I came in and met everyone the night before, it was just so great. I thought, ‘OK, this is going to be one of those life experiences where you are in the moment and aware of how lucky you are.’ It’s like starting over, it’s like the beginning of music again for me. “

Lohan Bar Fight Reportedly Over Max from The Wanted

According to a TMZ.COM EXCLUSIVE, “Lindsay Lohan punched another woman in the face over Max from the boy band “The Wanted” last night … and we’ve learned Max was turned off by the fact LiLo was sloppy drunk inside the club … this according to sources at the club. We’re told … Lindsay went to the Justin Bieber concert — but not to see the Biebs — “The Wanted” was the opening act … and Lindsay has been scoping Max out for the last few days. Sources say Lindsay tried to get backstage after the concert to see him — but she was blocked. Fast forward to later that evening when Lindsay met up with Max, Jay and Tom at a hotel bar. The four of them — along with one of LiLo’s friends — then went to Club Avenue together. As the evening wore on, we’re told Lindsay got drunker and drunker … and it turned Max off. he then set his sights on another woman, which enraged Lindsay. That woman is the one Lindsay is accused of battering. Ironically, Max washed his hands of both of them — found another girl in the club — and went home with her instead … while Lindsay ended up in jail.”

Lindsay Lohan Charged With Assault In Club Fight

Lindsay Lohan is at it again – the troubled actress had another run-in with the law after allegedly punching a woman in the face early this morning. Lohan, 26, was arrested while trying to leave Manhattan’s Avenue nightclub around 4 a.m. Det. Mark Nell of the New York Police Department told People magazine Lohan has been charged with assault. Her accuser, 28-year-old Tiffany Eve Mitchell, was interviewed at a nearby police station and released without charge.

“This morning at 4 a dispute broke out at Avenue located at 116 10th Avenue. A female 26-year-old assaulted a female 28-year old. Lindsay Lohan was arrested and charged with assault,” Det. Nell told People.

Lohan was released around 8 o’clock. She will appear in court on January 11. A rep for the Liz and Dick star has not commented.

According to reports, the incident happened inside the club when Lohan and Mitchell exchanged words. Lohan is said to have asked Mitchell for space. An insider said Lohan then sat down briefly, but got back up and punched Mitchell. Mitchell called police.

As Lohan was being handcuffed she reportedly said, “Oh my God! I didn’t touch anyone!”

The incident comes just 7 months after a judge took Lohan off probation in her 2007 DUI arrests. The judge kept Lohan on informal probation in her 2011 necklace theft case until May 24, 2014. If Lohan violates her probation by breaking any laws, she could face up to 245 days in jail.

In addition to multiple arrests and jail sentences, Lohan’s troubled past includes 5 stints in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.

Weekend Concert Pick: "An Evening With The Monkees" At The Beacon Theater, Sunday, 12-2, 8PM

By Anne M. Raso

Monkees
fans around the world are still in shock over the untimely
death
of Davy Jones earlier this year
and most think the group is simply not the real deal without the sunny song and
dance man who had been doing the large club and small theater circuit on a
regular basis before his untimely passing. But out of all bad comes some good
(as the old saying goes), and Michael Nesmith–who had only played with the
band twice (in Tokyo and London) since their breakup 40-plus years ago
made the announcement he would be joining up with the current Monkees tour
shortly after a memorial in LA at Micky’s ex-wife Samantha Juste’s house. It
surprised everyone more than a…well, out of control barrel of monkeys!
There are many rumors about Nesmith
rejoined with his old goofy band mates–from big money to being unable to tour
in the past due to hearing problems that have since been corrected through
surgery. But the reunion with Nesmith happened “organically” after
Jones passed away according to Micky Dolenz. Nesmith himself said to
showbiz411.com “This seems like a good time to do this – the right time.
Who knows when we will get another chance?”
Davy’s
death was of particular grief to us here at The Mac Wire since we had interviewed him many times over the years and were about to
reschedule an interview that couldn’t happen due to time constraints at BB
King’s in Times Square only a few days before his death in the West Palm Beach
area! This writer was lucky in that at the BB King’s show earlier this year, Davy cajoled
me from the stage after I was bold enough to run up and take flash photos. He
made believed he was annoyed at me, said he was calling the cops–and then told
me to have a drink on the keyboard player. I gave thumbs up as the drummer did
a rim shot!
The
current Monkees tour has been getting many great reviews, and has sold out. The
show at the Beacon promises to be one of the highlights of the fans have never
gotten to hear Nesmith do the songs he made popular as part of America’s answer
to The Beatles! We will be there with bells on…. or rather, with tambourines
glued to our hips, in honor of Jones (who was introduced at his shows in later
years as “the world’s greatest tambourine player”).
There are
no tickets left for the show, which starts at 8:00 at the Beacon Theater on
Sunday, but it is legal to buy them from people selling them at face value on
the street. (Just for the record, all The Monkees’ East Coast dates sold out in
ONE DAY!) So we suggest you try to buy up one of those tickets in front of the
show–be sure to get there about an hour before show time for that opportunity.
And just for the record, the Last Train To Clarksville DOES NOT STOP at 74th
and Broadway where the theater is located, LOL!

info on the Monkees and their current tour dates, go to

site) or

THE 1970 ‘ELTON JOHN’ ALBUM IS INDUCTED INTO THE GRAMMY HALL OF FAME

Continuing the tradition of preserving and celebrating great recordings, The Recording Academy has announced the newest additions to its legendary GRAMMY Hall Of Fame collection, and Elton’s 1970 album Elton John is one of the albums cited as exhibiting “qualitative or historical significance.”

This is the 40th year in which the Recording Academy has inducted recordings that highlight “diversity and recording excellence,” and the Elton John album is one of the 27 new titles in the collection. There are 933 titles in total.

“With the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame celebrating 40 years, it’s especially important to note that these entries continue the tradition of inducting a wide variety of recordings that have inspired and influenced both fans and music makers for generations,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. “Memorable for being both culturally and historically significant, we are proud to add them to our growing catalog of outstanding recordings that have become part of our musical, social, and cultural history.”

Yoko Ono Designs Clothing Line

Yoko Ono has designed a clothing line inspired by her late husband John Lennon.

The singer/artist based the menswear collection on Fashions For Men, a set of sketches she drew as a gift for the Beatle before their 1969 wedding.

Highlights from the 18-piece range include a pair of trousers with a hand silhouette stitched over the crotch and a sweater with eyelet cut-outs around the nipples.

She tells Women’s Wear Daily, “I was inspired to create Fashions for Men amazed at how my man was looking so great. I felt it was a pity if we could not make clothes emphasizing his very sexy bod (sic).

“So, I made this whole series with love for his hot bod and gave it to him as a wedding present. You can imagine how he went wild and fell in love with me even more.”

Ono’s collection, which also features hooded sweatshirts and boots, will be stocked at Opening Ceremony stores.

Anna Nicole Smith’s Daughter Models For GUESS Kids

Dannielynn Birkhead may only be 6-years-old, but she is already following in the footsteps of her mom, the late Anna Nicole Smith. Like Smith, Dannielynn is modeling for GUESS clothing.

“Dannielynn has the same playful spirit that her mother had on set,” says GUESS creative director Paul Marciano. “She is a second-generation GUESS girl.”

Dannielynn appears in the Spring 2013 GUESS Kids ad campaign. Her father Larry Birkhead says he saw the campaign as an opportunity for Dannielynn to connect with Smith, who was the face of GUESS in 1992.

“I think that this is kind of Dannielynn’s way of paying tribute to her mom in her own special way,” the photographer explained on Tuesday’s Good Morning America. “To see her mom’s picture next to hers as a GUESS girl and say, ‘Hey, I was a GUESS Kids girl and my mommy was a Guess girl,’ that might be her only connection with her mom.”

Dannielynn was just 5-months-old when Anna Nicole died of a drug overdose in a Florida hotel room on February 8, 2007. Anna Nicole, a Playboy model and reality star, was 39.
