Actor and video game voice artist Robin Sachs unexpectedly died last week at the age of 61. He reportedly passed away Friday in California. No other details, include Sachs’ cause of death, have been released.

Sachs is best known for his role as evil sorcerer Ethan Rayne on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The series, which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, ran on the WB from 1997 to 2003. He appeared on countless other shows including Babylon 5, Star Trek: Voyager, Torchwood, Alias and NCIS. Sachs also provided voices for video games like Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 and Rainbow Six: Lockdown.
