Photo: Courtesy of MTV
They may be comfortably back in their spiritual home of Seaside Heights for the new season, but not for long! The cast of MTV’s smash hit “Jersey Shore” are poised to head to the other homeland: Italy.

On Tuesday (January 25), MTV announced that not only had “Shore” been renewed for a fourth season, but that, in the upcoming season, the cast would be taking their show on the road … all the way to Italy. Production on season four is set to begin in spring 2011, and will premiere “later this year.”

“While the Stateside ‘Jersey Shore’ locales have become iconic for our audience, it’s really the constantly evolving dynamic amongst the cast that keeps them coming back each season, and Europe is a fresh spin on a show that continues to reach new heights for us,” Chris Linn, MTV’s executive vice president of programming and head of production, said in a statement. “The cast is headed to the birthplace of the culture they love and live by. We can’t wait to see what erupts as a result.”

But that’s not all.  Gaga also made Time’s list of People Who Mattered in 2010, along with the likes of Pope BenedictSteve JobsPresident Barack ObamaSarah PalinNancy PelosiLeBron James, the cast ofGleeSandra BullockBetty White and, of course, Justin Bieber.  Writing about Gaga, Time said, “Her ability to weave fashion, choreography, visual art and a wide variety of pop-based musical styles into one…made her not only a household name but a pop icon.”

The meat dress Lady Gaga wore at the recent MTV Video Music Awards has ea rned the eccentric singer the title of Worst Dressed Female in a new onli ne poll.

The superstar shocked fans by stepping out at the Los Angeles bash wear ing an outfit made entirely from raw animal flesh – angering animal advoc ates and bemusing fellow performers.
Webgoers have now registered their disapproval by voting Gaga the unani mous winner in a WENN.com poll to find Hollywood’s biggest fashion victim .

The singer earned 55 per cent of all votes, destroying the competition in her wake. Lindsay Lohan came in a surprise second place, with 17 per c ent of votes, ahead of Katy Perry with 14 per cent and Rihanna in a close fourth with 12 per cent.

Taylor Swift’s Kanye West Recovery Uncovered On ‘VMAs: Revealed’

With one swift swipe of the mic, Kanye West went from just another tipsy rapper at an awards show to a pop-culture pariah at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Jaws dropped and boos were lobbed when Kanye infamously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video, leaving behind a shell-shocked teen country starlet.

Swift composed herself and gracefully left the stage but the experience was apparently as hard for the Grammy-winner to take as it was for viewers to watch. And to pile on the pressure, Swift was set to pull off a complex performance of “You Belong With Me” involving scores of extras raging through a New York City subway station just minutes after the onstage debacle. In addition to her preternatural professionalism, Swift had a secret weapon to help her through the set: her fans.

“The fans behind her were going crazy,” choreographer Danielle Flora recalls in the special “The VMAs: Revealed – Presented by New 5 React Gum,” which premieres Saturday at 11 a.m. Dancer Keltie Colleen agreed: “It was like they were her army.”

Eventually, it all worked out. Beyoncé, who appeared almost as uncomfortable as Swift when ‘Ye insisted the ‘Single Ladies’ singer deserved the Best Female Video Moonman, asked the country star to finish her acceptance speech when she later won for Video of the Year.Swift went on to lampoon the drama on “Saturday Night Live” and West has used the incident as material for some of his latest work.
