The 2010 AMAs featured music’s biggest names — together — live from the Nokia Theatre for a star-studded night of performances and awards. Your voice was heard and the AMA winners 2010 were chosen: Justin Bieber took home four huge awards — including the coveted Artist of the Year — Lady Antebellum shined as country music’s Favorite Band, and Taylor Swift took her third American Music Award for Favorite Female Country Artist. Rihanna to Open the 2010 ‘American Music Awards®’ November 21 on ABC

dick clark productions (dcp) president, Orly Adelson, announced that Rihanna will perform at the 2010 “American Music Awards®,” as the show’s opener for the 38th annual event.  This will mark Rihanna’s fourth time performing on the AMAs as she will join other previously announced acts including Diddy-Dirty Money, Ne-Yo, Bon Jovi, P!nk, Christina AguileraJustin BieberKaty Perry, Ke$ha and Usher. Rihanna is nominated for an AMA in the Soul/Rhythm & Blues category for Favorite Female Artist.  
Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks. The show will broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21st (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC.  Tickets are now on sale (please visitwww.razorgator.com/ama or call 1-800-542-4466).

The pre-show, featuring hosts Danny GokeyJennette McCurdyLance Bass,Whitney Port and the returning Coca-Cola Correspondent David Lehre, will be available on ABC.com, and USTREAM.TV.
For the fourth year, winners will be determined by online voting at the official Coca-Cola voting location www.amavote.com as well as ama.abc.com. Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Soundtracks and Contemporary Inspirational.  Fans can go to the official homepage of the 2010 “American Music Awards,” ama.abc.com, to find performer and presenter announcements, artist information, and more.

Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Ke$ha Announced As Performers For The 2010 American Music Awards

dick clark productions (dcp) President Orly Adelson has announced that Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Ke$ha will perform at the “2010 American Music Awards®,” making it the first time each of the artists will perform on the AMAs. They join previously announced acts including Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, P!nk and Usher. Bieber, Perry and Ke$ha are also all nominated for Artist of the Year, joined by Lady Gaga and Eminem.

Justin Bieber is a global sensation. His two albums, November 2009’s My World and March 2010’s My World 2.0 have sold more than six million copies. The video for his song “Baby” is the single most viewed music video on YouTube, and his total YouTube views total more than one billion. Bieber is currently out on his first headlining tour of North America.
Grammy-nominated Katy Perry’s latest album, Teenage Dream, debuted at the top of the Billboard Charts and has already produced two #1 singles, “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream,” with third single “Firework” just breaking into the charts. Perry’s California Dreams 2011 world tour kicks off in Europe next February before hitting Australia and Japan in May, and then America during summer.
2010 has been an incredible year for Ke$ha, who has sold over 15 million combined units worldwide. Less than 10 months after the #1 debut of Animal in January 2010, the album, featuring the smash breakthrough single “TiK ToK,” has been certified platinum and sold over 2 million units worldwide. Ke$ha’s highly anticipated companion album, Cannibal, will be released on November 22.
