A record company with powerhouse clients like Lady Gaga and U2 has reportedly been used by a drug-trafficking ring involving shipments of equipment cases stuffed with cocaine and vacuum-packed $20 bills.
A year-long Drug Enforcement Administration investigation has resulted in the indictment of James Rosemond on 18 felony charges that could mean he’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars if convicted, The Smoking Gun reports.
A letter filed Wednesday with the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn details evidence against Rosemond, known as “Jimmy Henchmen,” a music-industry manager who has been in custody since shortly after the indictments. Read more>>
Lady Gaga has fires back at a New York Times reporter who criticized the pop star’s fashion choices.
The Paparazzi hitmaker was targeted by fashion critic Cathy Horyn back in June when the writer called out designer Donatella Versace for giving her seal of approval to the singer’s Versace outfits.
In her blog On The Runway, Horyn sniped, “Be choosier, Ms. Versace.”
Gaga has since learned of the snide remark and has hit out at the reporter in her own column for the upcoming issue of V Magazine, likening the Times employee to just another Internet blogger hiding behind the safety of their computer screen.
The singer writes, “Shouldn’t columnists and reviewers, such as Cathy Horyn, employ a more modern and forward approach to criticism, one that separates them from the average individual at home on their laptop?”

Fans at Britney Spears‘ show in New Jersey on Saturday night (Aug 6) got more than they bargained for – fellow pop icon Lady Gaga was in the crowd.
The Toxic hitmaker is currently wowing with her Femme Fatale tour, and she hit Atlantic City over the weekend.
Atlantic City concert-goers were treated to two A-listers for the price of one – they went wild after Spears pointed out her pop peer in the audience.
She told devotees, “I have a very special guest tonight… Lady Gaga is here.”
Sitting in the VIP section in front of the stage, Gaga stood up and waved to the cheering crowd, before dancing to Spears’ set and downing drinks.
Gaga even stole the spotlight away from her host during a performance break – fans chanted her name and several flocked to the Poker Face singer for autographs.
Lady Gaga was left stunned after throngs of devoted fans tracked down the set of her latest music video – in a sweltering Midwestern cornfield.
The singer traveled to a small town in Nebraska to film a promo for upcoming single You and I amid country roads and massive fields earlier this month (Jul11).
And the Poker Face hitmaker was in disbelief after spotting devotees, who she affectionately calls her Little Monsters, gathering to watch the shoot.
Gaga tells Omaha radio station 94.1, “I shot my new music video here in Springfield. I’ve got to tell you, as much as I’ve traveled, I don’t think there’s anything hotter than being in a cornfield in Nebraska. It was so sweet, and I looked out and it’s so beautiful, that tall corn – it really has a life of its own.
“I was looking out into the distance, it was all green just for miles and miles. Then all of a sudden you started to see these cute Little Monsters pop up in clusters. I said, ‘Children of the Corn is real now. It’s Monsters of the Corn!'”
Lady Gaga broke down in tears on U.S. television on Wednesday night (27Jul11) as she was overwhelmed by a performance on So You Think You Can Dance.
The Poker Face hitmaker was acting as a guest judge on the reality contest alongside panellists Rob Marshall, Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy.
But when she was faced with judging a contemporary routine by dancer Marko Germar, which aimed to promote more tolerance and less judgement in the world, she was overcome with emotion.
She choked back tears as she told him, “I’m just so proud of you. You really love to dance… There were so many things I did wrong when I was younger and so many things I wish I could take back. I felt every moment of that in your dance tonight.
“You are absolutely incredible. Whether you are number one, three or 10, you have it.”
