On The Two-Part Season Finale of Dancing With The Stars: Four Couples Remaining

After 10 weeks of entertaining, stylized dancing from Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff, Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke, Bill Engvall and Emma Slater and Amber Riley and Derek Hough, only one couple will be crowned “Dancing with the Stars” champions. These four remaining couples will have one last opportunity to impress the judges and the viewers Monday, Nov. 25 (8 p.m.), concluding with the season finale, Tuesday, Nov. 26 (9 p.m.) on the ABC Television Network.

On Monday, “Dancing with the Stars” season 16 champion Kellie Pickler returns to open up the show with her country hit “Little Bit Gypsy,” accompanied by the pro dancers. The four remaining couples will then compete in three rounds of dance. In the first round, each couple will take on the “Judges Pick” and repeat a selected routine from earlier in the season. In round two, the couples will be challenged to a samba relay, where each pair dances to a different section of the same song. The samba relay will be accompanied by 90s hip-hop group TLC, who will perform their classic hit “No Scrubs.” In the last round, and one of the biggest competitive dances of the season, the couples take on a supersized freestyle featuring special effects, additional dancers and unexpected surprises. At the end of night, one couple will be eliminated based on the previous weeks’ viewer votes, combined with the judges’ scores from Monday night.

In the two-hour season finale Tuesday, and in the last element of competition, the couples will perform a new routine as part of a “24 Hour Fusion Challenge.” During Monday night’s show, the remaining couples will choose songs for their competitors that fuse two contrasting dance styles and they’ll all have less than 24 hours to prepare that dance for judges’ points the following night.

The finale will feature performances by Lady Antebellum, who will perform new single “Compass,” and Enrique Iglesias will sing his current hit “Heart Attack.” The entire celebrity cast returns, including Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Brant Daugherty, Keyshawn Johnson, Christina Milian, Bill Nye, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Leah Remini and Valerie Harper, who will dance with partner Tristan MacManus to a version of “What a Wonderful World” by singer Colbie Caillat. In addition, Ylvis will perform hit single “The Fox,” accompanied by select celebrity and pro dancers.

At the end of the night, the public vote from Monday night will be combined with the judges’ scores from both nights to crown the season 17 champion.

Lady Gaga is to Appear With The Muppets For a One-Off TV Special in America Next Month

The Applause singer will star alongside the puppets in a 90 minute special on American network ABC.
Lady Gaga & The Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular will air on 28 November, which is Thanksgiving in the US. Sir Elton John and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are among the other guests who will be a part of the show. It’s the second time Lady Gaga, 27, has been part of the network’s holiday special.

“I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year,” said the singer. “I knew it just wouldn’t be a complete night of laughter and memories without The Muppets!”

In 2009, Kermit the Frog was Lady Gaga’s date to the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). “Can’t wait to see the gang again and I hope Miss Piggy’s still not mad about Kermit. We’re just friends!”

In a statement from ABC, Kermit the Frog said: “What an incredible opportunity!” “We have a long history with Ms. Gaga, so we jumped at the chance to do a holiday special with her.

The singer also wore a dress made of Kermit the Frog toys on German TV in the same year as her appearance with him at the VMAs.

“We won’t even mind if she mistakes some of the Muppets for pieces of her wardrobe, again,” added Kermit.

Lady Gaga is also set to perform at the first YouTube Music Awards with Eminem and Arcade Fire, among others.

She will appear on Sunday’s (27 October) X Factor results show. It was announced that she’ll perform Venus from her upcoming third studio album Artpop, which is scheduled to be released in November.

“I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year,” Lady Gaga said. “I knew it just wouldn’t be a complete night of laughter and memories without the Muppets!”

“Can’t wait to see the gang again, and I hope Miss Piggy’s still not mad about Kermit,” she continued. “We’re just friends!”

Not only will Gaga perform songs from her new album (she’ll sing “Applause” with several of the Muppets and have a duet with Kermit the Frog), but Sir Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and RuPaul will have duets with Muppets as well. Adding to the star-studded program is Kristen Bell, who will star in a sketch alongside Gaga and the Muppets.

“What an incredible opportunity!” Kermit the Frog gushed. “We have a long history with Ms. Gaga, so we jumped at the chance to do a holiday special with her. We won’t even mind if she mistakes some of the Muppets for pieces of her wardrobe — again.”

Wynonna Judd Ready To Talk About "Got Soul"; Appearance on CBS "The Talk", October 28

WYNONNA JUDD will make an appearance on CBS’s “The Talk,” daytime television’s fastest-growing network talk show, Monday, October 28 (2-3 PM ET; 1-2 PM PT/CT), to reveal details on her new women’s shoe line Got Soul, as well as plans for her “A Simpler Christmas” tour kicking off December 3.

The five-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, musician and New York Times best-selling author can now add shoe designer to her resume. At the MAGIC Fashion and Apparel Trade Show in Las Vegas this past August,WYNONNA unveiled her new women’s shoe line: Got Soul. The new collection of bedazzled sneakers, wedges and flats, will be available at Fred Segal LA and boutiques across America just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.

As for the inspiration behind starting her own shoe line, WYNONNA said it came from her real-life road experience. “I’m on stage, and I hear from the audience, ‘Oh my god, your shoes,’” WYNONNA told Women’s Wear Daily’s Footwear News (check out the 9/2/13 story here). “[Fans kept saying] the same thing at meet-and-greets. All of a sudden, it was like, ‘bling!’ literally and figuratively. Every woman needs to feel sparkly at some point.”

WYNONNA goes on to share where the desire to create the new line came from. “It wasn’t a marketing thing. I’ve been offered all kinds of deals, but it truly has to be something that’s really me. I wear [fashion sneakers] every night on stage for my two-hour show, so it started authentically, and I’m really proud of that. It’s a very personal love affair with the fans.

“The initial line will include a variety of wedges with cool buckles and fringe, sneakers with an assortment of flag designs and bedazzled sequins, and then my favorites that inspired the entire line, the high top sequined sneakers. I think we did a great job at creating a dynamic line that the fans will love, that are unique and full of attitude.”

While on the “The Talk,” WYNONNA will also discuss her upcoming holiday tour–“A Simpler Christmas”–with her band THE BIG NOISE. The intimate and joyous performances will showcase her legendary voice in a set of inspirational Christmas favorites, plus some of her greatest hits. Wynonna & The Big Noise kick off their “A Simpler Christmas” tour December 3 in Bakersfield, CA with dates running through December 22 in York, PA (see full itinerary below). “The holidays are a hectic time of year for so many,” says WYNONNA. “The guys and I are excited to give fans a chance to experience the simpler sounds of the season.” Finely etched musical arrangements by her band will put WYNONNA’svoice front and center for what promises to be a truly memorable evening of music and holiday magic.
