Steven Tyler Regrets Comments About Bandmates

Steven Tyler regrets some of the things he said about his Aerosmith bandmates in a candid news special on the band.

The Love in an Elevator singer accused his colleagues of riding his coattails, insisting his quest for perfection has helped them all become millionaire hitmakers, while his bandmates opened up about Tyler’s cruel and mean tendencies, revealing the outrageous frontman is tough to work with at times.

But the most eye-opening part of the 60 Minutes expose came when guitarist Joe Perry talked about his own tempestuous relationship with Tyler. The rocker said he tolerates his songwriting sidekick because he is an immense talent.

And when Perry was asked if the band’s disagreements over the years have ever led to a bust-up, he said, “That would damage the relationship too much; besides he needs his jaw to sing.”

The offhand comment didn’t sit well with his frontman when it was repeated to him later in the interview.

Clearly a little hurt, Tyler responded, “It’s a terrible message that sends. I always sleep with one eye open with him… He needs his jaw to sing? Does that mean that maybe there’s a fight in the near future? I think he’s (Perry) still got a good, strong ego.”

Now Tyler and his bandmates have seen the TV special, the frontman admits they went a little too far and got a little too candid in front of the TV cameras.

He tells Access Hollywood, “We all realize we might have said a little too much. Being Italian, you know, there’s some things you don’t say. There was stuff we were going through.”

Robert Pattinson is blaming Kristen Stewart for the wedding night scene that, before it was re-edited, nearly earned “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” an R rating.

“What were you doing?” Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson asked the Brit on Thursday afternoon as he promoted the November 18-due film.

“Weird stuff… It was gross,” Robert laughed. “No one wants to see that kind of stuff.”

When Shaun asked what director Bill Condon left on the cutting room floor, Robert suggested it was things done by his leading lady – K-Stew.

“It was more the noises. It was Kristen’s fault, really. I was just doing standard stuff,” Robert replied, trying not to look like the guilty party.

“I was just kind of going through the motions – breaking the headboard, I just kept breaking the headboard repeatedly,” he carried on, laughing. “Kristen was just over the top. It was just too much… Her wig [was] falling off.”

The die hard fan revealed she has yet to meet Twilight hero Robert Pattinson after he snubbed her at a photo signing, and now TV bosses have stepped in to make her wish come true.
Appearing on Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday (01Feb11), the actress told host Billy Bush, “I actually waited in line to take a picture of him (Pattinson) after the very first premiere for, like, an hour and 15 minutes and, as I got up to take my picture, they were like, ‘Robert, are you tired?’ He’s like, ‘Yes’, and he left.” But then Bush offered her the job of a lifetime, asking Hewitt if she’d be interested in reporting on the red carpet at the next Twilight premiere.
Thrilled Hewitt screamed and said, “Are you kidding? Really…? Oh my God… This is amazing… I’m gonna get (vampire) teeth… I’m gonna get him (Pattinson) to sit on my lap.”

Rod Stewart is searching for the U.S. World War Two veteran who inspired his latest standards album, so he can fly him and his sister to England as a thank you.

Stewart is planning to break the myth he’s famously tight with his money by treating the old-timer he met while shopping in Sherman Oaks to an all-expenses-paid trip to the U.K.
The rocker reveals the unnamed fan told him how much he loved his classic covers albums, all released under the banner The Great American Songbook.
Stewart wasn’t planning to record a fifth album at the time but the veteran’s high praise made him realise there was a generation of fans who loved hearing the standards again.
He tells news show Access Hollywood, “He said, ‘Are you gonna record one of those American Songbooks again…? ‘Cos you make those old songs sound brand new, boy.'” Stewart is now appealing for the man to come forward, so he can reward him for being his muse: “He was the sweetest man… and he said he’d never been back to England since the war and if I do find you, if you’re watching this show, I’ll pay for a ticket for you and your sister… to go back and visit England.”
