ADRIAN NILES will make his New York City debut, at B.B. King’s on Thursday, September 6, opening for the legendary New Riders Of The Purple Sage.
Niles has had a particularly significant 2012 so far; first evidenced by the fact of having two of his songs featured on F/X’s show Justified in the spring; on the episode entitled Loose Ends – “Harden To Heal” and “Same Road.”
Based in Shadyside, Ohio, Niles has continued to produce authentic, American-rock, as with his album of last year Roll & Move, which featured the song “Skylark,” which succeeded in generating play on many AAA outlets.
Last month Niles was interviewed on the Sirius/XM show Brett Winterble about his continuing exploits and forthcoming shows in NYC, on the sat-caster’s On The Verge segment of his show. Winterble was struck by Niles’ passion to his craft. Said Winterble, “There’s no question about it; he’s going to be a major player very soon. I can’t think of a better choice to kick off this new series. He’ll be back on again very soon.”
Through the course of 5 albums, Niles has continued to demonstrate the originality that true music lovers appreciate and watch for. Roll & Move took third place honors in the Bluesforum.com 2011 CD of the year.
Currently working on a new album, tentatively titled Struck Down Dreaming, Niles’ forthcoming NYC-debut at B.B. King’s will indeed be a special treat.
Upper-Ohio Valley’s Adrian Niles, who fronts his successful aggregation, The Adrian Niles Band, will have two of his songs on the March 13 episode of F/X’s Justified, starring Timothy Olyphant – which today was renewed by the cable net for a fourth season.
The episode, titled “Loose Ends,” will feature Niles’ “Harden to Heal” and “Same Road.”
Niles and band, whose latest album Roll & Move (featuring the single “Skylark) has been a consistent presence on the radio since its release last year, is about to embark on a mini-East Coast tour, with several days to be spent in New York City. According to a band spokesperson David Salidor, “The band will have several live dates in the city as well as a number of media interviews.”Niles is also considering several label offers while in NYC.

Special To The Mac Wire… Blues Musician Adrian Niles
Somewhere in the blues nexus – between Dave Matthews, John Mellancamp, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan- resides a secret weapon named Adrian Niles. With his eponymous band, Miles has been churning out riveting music for the past several years, most recently with this summer’s Roll & Move; his sixth release. Niles writes like a true survivor (especially on the track “Skylark”) and, having opened for Dave Mason and Los Lonely Boys, his take on the American landscape is stunningly real and on the money. His midwest-honesty immediately brings to mind Dylan. Says Niles, “I was actually around 15 when I first heard his ‘Bringin’ It All Back Home’; it was a definitive turning point for me; everything changed. I started writing my first songs when I heard that track. I got a true feeling of where he came from and how he lives … I can’t find that in a lot of other artists I’ve heard.” Niles signed with NY-based manager David Salidor (who also runs his praisery, the dis COMPANY), and is poised to be here in person come December. “When I first heard his music, I immediately knew it was something real and special. Everyone that’s heard has felt the same way.”
