Backstreet Boys Making a Documentary

Hit 1990’s band Backstreet Boys are set to star in a documentary about their meteoric rise to fame.

The I Want It That Way hitmakers will open up about their time in the pop band for the upcoming tell-all film, to be directed by moviemaker Stephen Kijak.

The project is expected to be completed later this year to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the group’s formation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A statement from the Backstreet Boys reads, “We always wanted to make a film and now is the ideal time. With… a new album in the works and our 20th anniversary – it all adds up to being the right time to share our story.”

Kijak adds, “What drew me to this project is their openness and willingness to push themselves into uncomfortable places, to be vulnerable and honest and to be really trusting of the filmmaking team to steer them in the right direction. BSB is getting real and it has been exciting to work with them as they explore their past and start to look towards their futures.” Widgets

Aaron Carter Enters Rehab For ‘Emotional’ Issues

In the run-up to a reboot of his stalled music career, singer and reality-TV veteran Aaron Carter has entered a treatment facility. The singer’s manager, Johnny Wright, revealed in a statement that Carter, 23, younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, checked into the unnamed facility to “heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with.”

People magazine reported that the former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant has been working on an album and a show in Florida, but Wright said the singer “has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs. … Which in turn will help him on the music journey he’s about to take.”

Citing an unnamed source, E! Online reported that Carter entered a private rehab facility in Southern California earlier this month to treat unspecified “addiction issues.” The source said Carter had made the decision to “finally get help” and that it was not court-mandated. Another unnamed source added that Carter was “struggling recently and needed this.” Read more>>

He tells TV Guide magazine, “I made a strategic choice when I decided to do Blue Bloods to shift the balance to acting.

“(So) I’ll wrap Blue Bloods at 8pm, then go to a studio to start preparing the (NKOTB) show till 3 or 4am. I want to do it all now, while I still can!”
