Rocker Bret Michaels is returning to his native Pennsylvania next month for a special club concert to mark his 50th birthday.
The Poison frontman reaches the milestone on Friday, but because of TV filming commitments he is delaying his annual birthday gig until April 6.
A post on the star’s website on Thursday read, “Bret Michaels will returns to Pottsville Pennsylvania for a very intimate appearance at one of his favorite home state clubs. Due to filming of his new TV show Rock My RV, this is the first time in 10 years there has not been a concert on Bret’s birthday and this is the big one… Bret turns 50 tomorrow, March 15th. Tickets for the belated b-day bash will go on sale tomorrow.
“Bret is unveiling a new stage look that will blow your mind and changing up the set a bit.”
Bret Michaels is giving fans the chance to buy one of his vehicles after placing three cars from his personal collection on the auction block.
The Poison frontman will sell off the items at the prestigious Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona next month.
His 2004 Bentley Continental GT will be up for bids, as well as two cars formerly featured on his hit reality shows Rock of Loveand Life as I Know It – a 2004 Lincoln Navigator and a 2011 Ford Explorer.
The Every Rose Has Its Thorn hitmaker, who will also perform at the auction’s opening ceremony on January 15, is becoming quite a regular at the annual show – his 1969 Camaro sold for $220,000 at the event earlier this year.
President of Barret-Jackson, Steve Davis, says, “Bret Michaels is known to fans around the world as a rock star and a television celebrity. But what we’ve come to appreciate even more as we get to know Bret is the personal side of this rock ‘n’ roll icon. He is a devoted father, active philanthropist and a passionate automotive enthusiast. We are honored to have him with us again.”
Miley Cyrus and Bret Michael‘s version of Poison hit Every Rose Has Its Thorn is finally to be released as a single.
Cyrus and Michaels teamed up rework his classic anthem but the song’s release was stalled after infidelity rumors between Michaels and Cyrus’ mom, Tish, hit the tabloids – and reportedly broke up her marriage to Billy Ray Cyrus.
Now the Cyruses have halted divorce proceedings and reconciled, the track is back on the slate for Miley and Bret.
The song was supposed to be the Disney star’s second single released from her album Cant’ Be Tamed.
Michaels tells E!, “The record label was supposed have to this huge humongous release of Every Rose. It was going to be Miley’s next-step song, but, because of that (affair rumors), they stepped back. It really bummed me out. I worked hard on that.”
Michaels now expects the song to be released over the summer while Poison are on tour with Motley Crue and the New York Dolls.
He adds, “I think this is the song that will cross her over. If it happens, it’s going to be a big hit.”
