The Jacksons Book Las Vegas Residency

The Jacksons are following in the footsteps of Britney Spears and Meat Loaf by joining them in Las Vegas for a new residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The legendary group will perform 40 shows for the RockTellz & CockTails concert series, starting on 20 February.

A statement from singer Jackie Jackson reads, “We are thrilled to be a part of RockTellz & Cocktails at Planet Hollywood. As a Las Vegas resident, I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this amazing series at one of the most iconic entertainment destinations in the world. My brothers and I can’t wait to take the stage and bring our hits – and the stories behind them – to life for the fans.”

They will rotate with singer Meat Loaf, who debuted his show last autumn and will return to the Vegas stage in February.

The Jacksons reunited in 2012, three years after the death of Michael Jackson, after a 30-year hiatus.

Rocker Meat Loaf Books Another Las Vegas Run

Veteran rocker Meat Loaf is set for a return to the Las Vegas stage for a new concert residency, joining Britney Spears at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The Bat Out of Hell hitmaker performed an 18-date stint at the venue in the autumn and the RockTellz & CockTails gigs, in which he shared personal stories from his long career in between songs, were such a hit, he has signed up for more.

He says, “For me, the show is more than just another concert because the RockTellz & CockTails format allows me to add something different. I’m able to bring together music, acting and theatre and do things you can’t normally do when you’re on the road. I get to have a lot of fun and it definitely shows.”

The new 24-date run will kick off on Feb. 13 and run until April 8.

Meat Loaf won’t be the only big name performer stationed at the Planet Hollywood venue. Spears kicked off her two-year Britney: Piece of Me residency at the same place on Dec. 27.

Britney Spears Plans Break From Music Business

Pop superstar Britney Spears plans to take a break when her Las Vegas residency ends.

The Toxic hitmaker has kept busy with her eighth record, titled Britney Jean, and with preparations for her upcoming two-year Las Vegas residency, which is set to begin in December.

However, she insists she will take a break from music and step out of the spotlight soon after she wraps up her Sin City gigs.

Discussing her new album on BBC Radio 1, Spears says, “It’s very exciting, and this album is different from any other album I’ve done… It’s very moody and electric and different so, it’s pretty cool. It’s really nerve-racking ’cause (sic) you spend so much time on it and you’ve been really dedicated to this album… So it’s like my baby coming to life.”

Asked whether she expected her career to last so long, the singer responds, “No I never did, I never felt that… Never in my wildest dreams… I’ll take a break after this one for a while.”

Britney Jean is due for release in December.

Marie Osmond: ‘Britney Spears Will Feel Right At Home In Vegas’

Veteran entertainer Marie Osmond is confident Britney Spears will settle in Las Vegas in no time when she starts her residency at the Planet Hollywood resort in December (13) – because it’s like a “stay-at-home” job.

The Paper Roses hitmaker is currently performing with her brother Donny at the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel and casino, and she admits juggling her career with motherhood has been made all the more bearable by working and living in one place.

Speaking on U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America, Osmond says, “I have loved Vegas actually because, being a mum, I have eight children – four at home still, and you know, it’s a nice stay-at-home job.

“Celine (Dion), myself, we live there and there’s something nice about not being on the road, not being at different venues. I tour for Christmas shows and things like that, but there’s some stability and I can understand why she (Spears) wants to do that.”

Dion is currently in residence at the Caesars Palace resort in Sin City.

Britney Spears To Get $15 Million a Year for 2-Year Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood

Britney Spears is gearing up for her upcoming Las Vegas residency, putting in a lot of time at the gym to make sure she gives her fans the show they pay for. Spears has signed a two-year deal with Planet Hollywood and it’s now being revealed how much she will be making.

The singer, whose new single “Work Bitch” leaked a day early, will get paid a whopping $310,000 per show, putting on 48 shows a year. That amounts to about $15 million per year.

Spears’ residency will begin in December, and producers want it to be more modern than other Vegas shows. A source told TMZ they want it to be a “cool, hip club-like show.”

Although Spears will make about 60 percent of the projected $508,514 profit, Celine Dion reportedly earns $476,000 per show for her Vegas residency. She also does about 70 shows a year.
