Katy Perry’s California Dreams Tour Raises Money For Charity

Katy Perry raised over $175,000 for 50 non-profit organizations through a special ticket promotion. The pop phenom sold select tickets through Tickets-for-Charity.com, which allows fans to access the best seats in return for a donation to a charity.

Perry’s initiative raised over $40,000 apiece for The Humane Society of the United States, Children’s Health Fund and Generosity Water.

She thanked her fans for their cooperation:

“I can’t thank my amazing fans enough for their generosity in helping these great causes by choosing Tickets-for-Charity.com for their tickets!”

“I’m thrilled to be able to help support the work these organizations are doing to fight and prevent animal cruelty, provide health care to homeless children and bring clean drinking water to communities around the world,” she added.

Reps from Tickets-for-Charity joined Perry at a check presentation following the final stop of her “California Dreams” tour.
