Hey, this is pretty cool!  Did you see this?…

Pop superstar Cher waves and smiles at paparazzi as she escorted out of ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ studio in New York to her awaiting car. However, photographers yell that they need a ‘clean shot’ – one of her posing without a minder – and positively beg her to return for one as she gets into her car.

Unusually, she winds down the window to see what the fuss is about, before asking her driver to open up her door again so she can give them the shot they need.

Oprah Winfrey Encounters Angry Elephant On Vacation

Oprah Winfrey had a scary run-in with an African elephant while on a recent vacation with her beau Stedman Graham in Tanzania.

The iconic TV talk show host was on a tour of the Serengeti when an aggressive elephant approached the vehicle they were in and charged at the car – twice.

Fortunately no one was injured in the scary incident, but Winfrey admits the encounter left her a little shaken up.

She says, “We had literally just gotten into the truck, because we had gone for (a) walk and then we saw some elephants doing their elephant waterhole thing and one was a little irritated…”

Winfrey shared a video clip of the ordeal during an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday night.

Lindsay Lohan: Rehab Is A Blessing, Not A Curse

For Lindsay Lohan, another trip to rehab is a welcome blessing. The troubled actress appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman Tuesday tonight and was grilled about her past troubles, which include theft cases, addition, and court-ordered rehab stints. After enduring Letterman’s jokes, Lohan got serious about her upcoming 3 month stint in rehab.

“How many times have you been in rehab?” asked Letterman.

“Several,” Lohan replied.

“And how will this time be different?” Letterman continued. “What are they rehabbing, first of all? What is on their list? What are they going to work on when you walk through the door?”

“To be honest, I’m happiest when I’m working – the healthiest,” said Lohan. “I think this is an opportunity for me to focus on what I love in life. And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing and not a curse.”

Letterman later praised Lohan for being willing to handle his jokes. “We never thought we’d see you again, honestly … Yet you have enough spine, enough sense of yourself, enough poise, to come out here and talk to me,” he said.

Lohan ended the interview with a joke of her own. After sipping from a mud on Letterman’s desk, she said, “Oh, I thought this was going to be vodka. Shucks!”

Lindsay Lohan Receives Apology from David Letterman Over Show Mix-Up

TV host David Letterman has apologized to Lindsay Lohan after he mistakenly announced she would be appearing in a segment poking fun at herself on his talk show.

Chiefs at CBS sent out a release on Tuesday (Feb 15), stating the troubled actress would be reading the nightly Top Ten list on The Late Show With David Letterman on Thursday (Feb 17) via satellite from her home in California.

However, the Mean Girls star claimed she had not agreed to appear on the program and it was later discovered her estranged father Michael made the call to book the 24 year old on the show.
Letterman admits he was left red-faced when he realized the blunder – and he apologized to Lohan during his program on Wednesday night (Feb 16).
He said, “Last week I did a thing on the Grammys and there was a Lindsay Lohan joke about her stealing a Grammy award and the next day I get a call and it’s a guy saying, ‘Lindsay thought the joke was hilarious… she wants to be on your show.’
“I said great! I called publicity and I said get the press release out immediately… so it goes around the world and people are saying, ‘Are you kidding me, this is going to be fantastic’. And then Lindsay Lohan said none of that’s happening, it’s not true.
“It turns out we were duped. I have no one to blame but myself, and boy is my face red. Now I need to apologize to the Lindsay Lohan family, I hope I didn’t embarrass you Lindsay and your family.”
Lohan has been charged with felony grand theft over allegations she stole a necklace from a jeweller’s in Venice, California last month (Jan11). She’s currently free on bail and is due back in court on 23 February (11).
