Michael Jackson’s manager, Frank Dileo, has died at the age of 63.
Dileo managed the late “King of Pop” during the peak of his career in the ‘80s, and he returned to the singer’s life right before his death in 2009.
According to Rolling Stone, the cause of death has not yet been released, but Dileo is known for having complications after heart surgery.
In addition to managing Jackson, Dileo has worked with artists such as Prince, Taylor Dane, Laura Branigan, Jodeci, and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.
The New York Times reports that Dileo once said of Jackson, “You couldn’t find two more different people. He won’t eat meat; I’ll run out to get a cheeseburger. I’ll take a drink; he won’t touch the stuff.”
He added, “Just look at us — he’s skinny, I’m fat. If we stand next to each other, we look like the number 10.”
Dileo is survived by his wife, Linda, two children, a sister, and a grandson.
