Preliminary autopsy results have confirmed police officials’ suspicions that country singer Mindy McCready committed suicide.
Authorities investigating the singer’s passing at her Arkansas home on Sunday, believe she took her own life and now early results from the Arkansas Crime Lab indicate that she died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss tells Eonline.com the investigation into the 37-year-old’s death is still ongoing and he has revealed McCready did not leave a suicide note.
The Guys Do It All the Time hitmaker had been struggling to come to terms with the loss of her producer boyfriend David Wilson, who is also thought to have died from an apparent suicide at the same property last month.
A separate investigation into Wilson’s death continues.
