Dancing With The Stars Elimination: Jack Wagner Sent Packing

Although Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman said no one deserved elimination this week, a contestant still had to go on last night’s results show. Viewers’ votes put Gavin DeGraw, Gladys Knight and Jack Wagner in the bottom three. Wagner and pro partner Anna Trebunskaya were booted from the competition.

Wagner appeared surprised when host Tom Bergeron first announced the news, but he departed with nothing but good things to say. “I just had a great time. It was fun to test myself and thanks to the judges,” the actor said. “Good luck to everybody else, all the contestants.”

“It’s been such a great ride,” he added. “I love Anna. I’m so grateful for her.”

The contestants returning for Rock Week next Monday are: Donald Driver, Melissa Gilbert, Katherine Jenkins, Gladys Knight, Gavin DeGraw, Jaleel White, Maria Menounos, Roshon Fegan, William Levy and Sherri Shepherd.

Jack Wagner Opens Up About Meeting Daughter For The First Time

Former Melrose Place star Jack Wagner fought back tears on national TV as he recalled the moment he first met his grown-up daughter.

The 23-year-old was the product of a one-night stand Wagner had with a dancer friend and he had no idea the baby had been put up for adoption until it was too late.

The actor had given up all hope of ever meeting his love child, whose name is Kerry, when she showed up backstage at a concert in Florida in November.

Recalling the moment he met the girl during an appearance on Access Hollywood Live, the choked up actor said, “In rushes this amazing young girl, crying… She stayed for the show, we spent the next five days together on this cruise I was supposed to be a part of and we got to know one another and caught up and she’s amazing.”

Wagner confessed he never doubted the girl’s story – or her ties to him: “When she held me, it was just so powerful – and I knew.”

The actor admits he had some explaining to do to his sons, aged 21 and 17, when he got home.

He added, “Now they have a sister… They tried to get it but it was a process explaining the truth of it. Once they met her I think that actual connection… made it a little easier for them, and now they text and Facebook.”

Wagner’s daughter will be in Los Angeles later this month to cheer her father on when he competes on Dancing With the Stars.

Jack Wagner: ‘Finding Long-Lost Daughter is a Miracle’

Jack Wagner says he is still pinching himself after reuniting with his long-lost daughter, Kerry.

The former Melrose Place regular, 52, met 23-year-old Kerry for the first time at a November 4 concert in Boca Raton, Florida, where Wagner was performing with veteran singer Rick Springfield.

Recalling the night’s events in People magazine, Wagner reveals a security guard had knocked on his dressing room door to inform him that a woman clutching an old photograph of the U.S. TV star and her birth mum had been asking desperately to see him.

He recounts, “In rushes this girl, hysterically crying. She said, ‘You don’t know who I am, do you?’ We held each other, and I knew immediately that she was my daughter.”

The actor reveals he was with the child’s mother in the late 1980s, “and nine months later I got a call from her saying, ‘I just had a baby girl, you’re the father and she’s been put up for adoption.'”

The stunned star sought legal advice and tried desperately to find the baby – but to no avail.
He says, “I was blindsided. I got hold of an attorney to see what I could do. I didn’t even know if it was true. I was powerless.”

But Wagner is overjoyed to have reconnected with Kerry, a dance teacher who was raised in New York, branding it “a miracle”.

He adds, “She had no idea who I was. She Googled me and checked out some episodes of Melrose Place… The courage this girl has to come to my dressing room with a photo – it’s amazing. This really is all about love.”
