Jennifer Aniston Gets Emotional About Engagement

Jennifer Aniston may be reluctant when it comes to talking about her relationship with fiancé Justin Theroux, but her tears said it all on Monday’s Chelsea Lately. Aniston immediately got emotional when host Chelsea Handler asked about her recent engagement.

“I just got verklempt,” the actress said as she tried to hold back tears.

“Aren’t you so happy? You are so happy because he’s the greatest guy ever and you guys make the greatest couple ever and I am so happy for you two,” Handler said.

Aniston, 43, even encouraged Handler to get engaged. “That would be a good thing to do. Make an honest woman out of you!” she joked.

Theroux, 41, popped the question in early August. “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage,” the actor’s rep told People magazine at the time.

The couple began dating in May 2011 after meeting on the set of ‘Wanderlust.’ This will be the first marriage for Theroux and the second for Aniston. Aniston was married to Brad Pitt for five years before calling it quits in 2005 amid rumors Pitt was having an affair with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. Pitt and Jolie confirmed their relationship in 2006. They are currently engaged and have six children together.

Aniston can be seen next in We’re The Millers while Theroux is set to write and direct Zoolander 2.

Angelina Jolie Cried During Brad Pitt’s Proposal

Angelina Jolie cried when Brad Pitt proposed to her in front of their six children, an insider tells Us Weekly magazine. Pitt popped the question with a custom designed ring estimated to be at least 16 carats. It took jeweler Robert Procop a year to complete the ring.

“Everyone hugged once she put [the ring] on. She went around and showed it to each of the kids,” the source tells Us.

Jolie, 36, debuted her ring on April 11 during a visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with Pitt and son Pax, 8.

Meanwhile, Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston is said to be happy about his engagement. A source said the actress is “trying to just focus on her own happiness” with boyfriend Justin Theroux. “Jen is not a bitter person and she has always wanted Brad to be happy,” the source added.

Aniston and Pitt divorced in 2005 after 5 years of marriage. Pitt and Jolie confirmed their romance in January 2006 by announcing they were expecting their first child together.

Jim Carrey Could Star In ‘Bruce Almighty 2’

Jim Carrey could be reprising his lead role in the follow-up to Bruce Almighty, according to a report by Coming Soon. Universal has hired Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel – both of whom worked on Yes Man – to write a sequel to the hit film from 2003. Carrey is being considered once more for the role of Bruce Nolan though it is as yet unclear whether Morgan Freeman will be approached to return to play the role of God.

Steve Carell and Jennifer Aniston also featured in the original film but there is no news as yet on whether they will be cast in those same roles once more. Bruce Almighty confounded negative critical reviews to become a box office hit when it was released in 2003. It also spawned the offshoot, Evan Almighty, starring Steve Carell, which was also a hit, grossing over $31 million in its opening weekend in the Usa.

Carrey is also set to appear in a 2013 release of Burt Wonderstone. The comedy, about a Las Vegas magician, will also feature Carell, Steve Buscemi and James Gandolfini. Carrey has starred in a number of hugely successful comedy films, such as Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar and The Cable Guy.

Brad Pitt Under Pressure To Marry

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s children are “putting on the heat” for them to get married.

The Hollywood couple have been together since 2005 and raise six children – Maddox, 10, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – who Brad admits are keen for them to tie the knot.
In an interview with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres which is due to air tomorrow (22.09.11), he said: “The kids are putting on the heat. They really are.”
However, Brad, 47, and Angelina, 36, have always maintained they would not wed until gay marriage is made legal throughout the U.S.
He said: “We live in this great country that is about freedom. It is defined by our freedom and equality and yet we allow this discrimination to go on every day and that’s not what we’re about.”
When asked by Ellen if gay marriage was legal, they would marry immediately, Brad replied: “It seems.”
The ‘Moneyball’ star has also addressed comments he made about his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, in which he is quoted saying he “pretended the marriage was something it wasn’t,” saying he feels his statement was taken out of context.
He said: “I don’t know what was pieced together or put together. It has no reference to the past. And I think it’s a shame that I can’t say something nice about Angie without Jen being dragged in. You know, she doesn’t deserve it.”

Brad Pitt Talks Religion, Gay Marriage

Not only does Brad Pitt dish about Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie in the new issue of Parade magazine, he also shares his opinions on religion and gay marriage. Although Pitt grew up in a devout Christian family, the actor admits religion no longer “feels right” for him.

“I grew up Baptist, and then the family switched over to more of an evangelical movement, probably right around the time I was in late high school. There’s a point where you’re un-tethered from the beliefs of your childhood. That point came for me when it was finally clear my religion didn’t work for me,” the Moneyball star reveals.

“I had questions about Christianity that I could not get answered to my satisfaction, questions that I’d been asking since I was in kindergarten. I realized it didn’t feel right to me, that one question just led to another,” he explains. “It was like going down a rabbit hole, each answer provoking another question. There were things I didn’t agree with.”

Despite his new beliefs, Pitt says he and his family still get along. “We don’t see eye to eye on this one, yet at the end of the day we love each other, we’re still family,” he tells Parade.

As for gay marriage, Pitt says he feels “sadness” for those who try to keep it from becoming legal in all states. “I don’t mind a world with religion in it. There are some beautiful tenets within all religions. What I get hot about is when they start dictating how other people must live,” he says. “You grow up in a religion like that and you try to pray the gay away. I feel sadness for people like that.”
