Lady Gaga Nominated For Razzie Award For ‘Machete Kills’

Lady Gaga has landed a Razzie nomination for her performance in Machete Kills.

The singer’s brief appearance as a shapeshifting killer in Robert Rodriguez’s film earned her a Worst Supporting Actress nod. Rodriguez noted that he offered her a role in the film because he knew she was a fan of his work.

“I wrote her a part and she came down and I could tell she was going to be good,” Rodriguez said. “And the camera loves her like nobody’s business . . . It was a lot of fun. I can’t wait to work with her again. I may have already worked with her again.”

Gaga is up against fellow nominees Salma Hayek (Grown Ups 2), Katherine Heigl (The Big Wedding), Kim Kardashian (Temptation), and Lindsay Lohan (Scary Movie 5).

The 34th Annual Golden Raspberry Award take place on March 1.

Lady Gaga Opens Up About Do What U Want Music Video

As many loyal Lady Gaga fans know, her  music video for her second single featuring R. Kelly ‘Do What U Want’ has still not been released. The always outrageous performer recently explained in a an interview about the delay and what really happened:  Read below!

“It is late because, just like with the Applause video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it. It is very devastating for someone like me, I devote every moment of my life to creating fantasies for you. All my my most successful videos were planned over a period of time when I was rested and my creativity was honored. Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result. Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people. They wanted more. I am very grateful to the photographers and designers who have always stood by me to make sure my fans are never aware of the things that happen behind the scenes, but unfortunately after my surgery I was too sick, too tired, and too sad to control the damage on my own. My label was not aware that this was going on. The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning. Because those who did not care about ARTPOP’s success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition. Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most. Give me a chance to show you the meaning of seeing art all around you. Open your hearts to me again that I may show you the joy of us coming together through our talents, that we are stronger as a unit than when we are alone. Let me be for you the Goddess that I know I truly am, let me show you the visions that have been in my mind for two years. I love you. Forgive me monsters. Forgive me ARTPOP. You are my whole world.”

Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera Perform on The Voice Finale

On Thursday Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera Perform on The Voice Finale was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) On Wednesday night (Dec. 17), Lady Gaga ditched R. Kelly for a much shorter, blonder duet partner in Christina Aguilera. Wearing matching lame outfits, the two women teamed up for a special performance of Gaga’s ARTPOP track, “Do What U Want” on the finale of The Voice.

Mother Monster started the song on her own before Aguilera joined in at the 1:35 minute mark. The two then faced off in the middle of the stage before grabbing one another hands, taking a seat on the chaise lounge and sharing a bit of the bubbly.

Since 2010, when Aguilera took some jabs at Gaga in an interview with Out Magazine, saying she was “nice to look at,” it’s been rumored that the two were at odds. But from the looks of their handholding performance, things are copacetic between the two.

In an interview with E!, Gaga said she actually asked if she could perform with the pop diva. “I was really excited because The Voice called and wanted me to perform on the finale and I obviously can’t refuse,” Gaga explained. “It’s such an amazing show and I said, ‘I’ll do it, but I want to know if Christina will do it with me.'”
