Dancing with the Stars Judges Were “Way too Hard” on Bristol Palin

In an interview with Us magazine, Mark Ballas defends his Dancing with the Stars partner Bristol Palin. Last week, judges gave Palin’s rumba just 32 out of 60 points. Carrie Ann Inaba accused Palin of not putting any effort into the performance while Bruno Tonioli said Palin sometimes “goes vacant.”

“I think they’re being tough on everybody,” Ballas tells Us Weekly of the judges. “The scoring is all over the place. I don’t know if it’s the traveling back and forth for the judges or maybe they’re just not seeing what they want to see. But they were way too hard on Bristol last week. Especially Carrie Anne.”
Ballas and Palin will dance to a TV show theme song next week.
