Justin Bieber has broken his silence following his arrest on Thursday by comparing himself to the Late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
The teenage singer was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida in the early hours of thursday morning after police allegedly spotted him taking part in a drag race on a residential street. He was later charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence and driving without a valid licence, and was freed on bail.
Bieber has now commented on his legal troubles in a series of posts on his Instagram.com page, uploading a photomontage of himself and late superstar Jackson.
The black and white shot shows Bieber sitting on his car and holding his hand up to fans following his release from jail on Thursday. The snap is superimposed next to a picture of Jackson in 2005 standing on top of a vehicle in a similar pose after he was found not guilty of child molestation charges.
Bieber captioned the montage, “What more can they say” and added a picture of a crown.
A subsequent image shows the 19 year old sitting on a sofa and leaning into the camera, with the caption “Thank u lord”, while a post on the star’s Twitter.com page reads, “You are all worthy no matter what anyone says… Be strong God is with us all… My Beliebers changed my life… I will forever be grateful.”

Michael Jackson’s estate executors have settled a $17.5 million lawsuit filed against bosses at top insurance company Lloyd’s of London after they refused to pay out following the King of Pop’s death.
The pop superstar’s representatives took out the big-money policy on the singer’s ill-fated This Is It concerts two months before his passing in June, 2009, and made a claim for compensation when the shows were scrapped after his death.
Lloyd’s of London chiefs originally issued the policy to cover potential losses for the London residency, but in 2011, company bosses asked a judge in Los Angeles to declare the documents null and void, claiming Jackson lied about his medical history and drug addiction.
They insist the policy was restricted to “losses resulting from accident only”, stating the Thriller hitmaker’s official cause of death was listed as homicide.
The case was due to go to trial next month, but the two parties have avoided a legal showdown by reaching an out-of-court agreement.
The news was announced by both parties on Wednesday, but details have been kept under wraps.
Jackson died from a Propofol overdose in 2009. His personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for administering the fatal dose of the anaesthetic, and spent two years behind bars. He was released in October.
News of the insurance settlement emerges two days after a Los Angeles judge rejected Katherine Jackson’s latest bid for a new trial in her high-profile negligence case against This Is It promoters at AEG Live.
Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe has threatened to help a fan of the King of Pop kill his disgraced physician.
Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of administering the propofol dose that killed Jackson in 2009 and he has spent the past two years behind bars. He was released earlier this month.
And after the medic revealed in a recent interview that he and his former boss would joke about Rowe’s looks, the former nurse, who is the mother of the late pop star’s two eldest children, has hit back.
She tells TMZ.com that Murray should watch what he says and look out, because within 18 months “a Jackson fan will shoot him dead, and I’d buy the bullet. I wouldn’t shoot him but I’d buy the bullet.”
Commenting on Murray’s remarks about her looks, she adds, “If I had a dog as ugly as him, I’d shave its a**, make it walk backwards and put a wig on it… At least I can breed. He can’t even write prescriptions anymore.”

Late singer Michael Jackson has been named the top-earning dead celebrity for 2013, by Forbes Magazine.
The administrators of the King of Pop’s estate have brought in an estimated $160 million in the past year, according to Forbes magazine, thanks to deals with Cirque du Soleil and recorded music sales.
Jackson beats Elvis Presley, whose daughter Lisa-Marie was once the pop star’s wife, and Peanuts cartoonist Charles M Schulz, who comes in third with a $37 million fortune.
Elizabeth Taylor and reggae star Bob Marley round out the top five.
Ironically, Jackson topped the very much alive Madonna on the pop fortune list – the Material Girl singer was named the top earner on the 2013 celebrity 100 list, with $125 million in earnings.
Lady Gaga is reportedly in a million dollar bidding war to purchase photos from Michael Jackson’s horrific fire accident in 1984.
The Applause hitmaker has made it no secret she’s a devoted fan of the King of Pop, and now she’s planning to add to her collection of odd items with a set of one-of-a-kind memorabilia.
Bosses at Flatsigned auction house in Nashville, Tennessee are selling the original medical records and photos from Jackson’s traumatic head injury, which were found in a trash bin near the hospital where Jackson was treated in Los Angeles, California, nearly 30 years ago.
The photos show Jackson’s injuries after his hair caught on fire on the set of a Pepsi commercial, leaving the singer with second degree burns.
Flatsigned boss, Tim Miller, tells the International Business Times that he believes the items are such a hot commodity that the final price could reach around $2 million (GBP1.3 million).
He confirms, “Lady Gaga’s attorney and ours have been dealing with each other and she’s very much in the frame.”
This won’t be the first time Gaga has spent her fortune on Jackson memorabilia – last year (12), she purchased 55 items that once belonged to the legendary singer, for a reported $1 million (GBP667,000).
Lady Gaga would feel “sexy” wearing a pig’s nose.
The ‘Applause’ hitmaker explained her boyfriend Taylor Kinney has made her feel “hot” no matter how she’s dressed, and she has become fully comfortable in her own skin.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “A few years ago, people wanted me to be sexy. But I wasn’t ready. Now I finally feel a great freedom concerning sex.
“With my new sons I celebrate lust. Even with a pig’s nose you can still be hot and one of a kind … Through him a feel a greater harmony with myself.
“Deep inside me I feel more comfortable. I finally feel sexy!”
Meanwhile, it has also emerged Gaga – an avid collector of Michael Jackson memorabilia – is “in the frame” to buy the ‘Thriller’ singer’s medical records from his hair-fire accident filming an advert for Pepsi in 1984.
Ambulance driver Brian McDaniel claimed he discovered the documents in a park bin in Los Angeles and auction house Flatsigned expect them to be sold for $2 million.
Boss Tim Miller said: “Lady Gaga’s attorney and ours have been dealing with each other and she’s very much in the frame.”

Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine insists that she does not regret suing AEG Live executives over her son’s untimely death four years ago.
Last week, a 12-person jury concluded that although AEG bosses hired Dr. Conrad Murray as Jackson’s personal physician ahead of his ill-fated This Is It gigs, they were not guilty of the superstar’s death as the doctor was not “unfit or incompetent to perform the work for which he was hired”.
Although the ruling means AEG Live chiefs do not face a compensation bill, Katherine Jackson insists she stands by her decision in filing the wrongful death lawsuit against the concert promoters, according to editors at TMZ.com.
A source tells the website, “Any reports that Katherine Jackson is feeling remorse for filing the wrongful death lawsuit are completely untrue. Mrs. Jackson feels the lawsuit is very important, and that so far it has proven that AEG did in fact hire Dr. Murray.”
Jackson’s mother is reportedly planning to meet with the jurors in the case before deciding whether to appeal against the verdict.
The Thriller hitmaker died in June, 2009 from an accidental overdose of anaesthetic.
