Defiant Sharon Osbourne is refusing to pay up and settle a legal spat with the bosses of a jewellery company who have accused the rock matriarch and reality TV star of breaching a deal.
Lucas Design International executives claim they were approached by Ozzy Osbourne’s wife last year (11) to create a range of products for her to sell on the Home Shopping Network – but she pulled out of the agreement at the last minute.
The jewellery firm bosses filed suit against Osbourne last week (ends03Feb12), seeking unspecified damages, but the TV personality is refusing to back down.
Taking to Twitter.com on Tuesday (Feb 7), she wrote, “I refuse to put my name on a jewelry line or any product that I deem inferior in quality and overpriced. Bring on the lawsuit.”
A representative has told Tmz.com that no agreement between Osbourne and Lucas Design chiefs existed, adding, “Sharon is looking to create her own jewellery line and did have discussions with Lucas Design. Unfortunately the designs and pieces submitted were not the quality that was represented or hoped for. Sharon has moved on.”

Ozzy Osbourne will cement his rock star status at this year’s (11) Kerrang! Awards in Britain when he’s presented with the ceremony’s top honor.
The former Black Sabbath frontman will accept the Legend Award in London on 9 June (11) and he’s playing a special show in the U.K. capital on 21 June to mark the magazine’s 30th anniversary.
Osbourne says, “It’s an incredible honor to be the… recipient of Kerrang’s Legend Award. I’m looking forward to you all going ‘F**king Crazy’ at the 30th Anniversary party on June 21st at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo.”
Kerrang! editor Nichola Browne adds, “We are so unbelievably excited to have Ozzy play this very special show for our 30th birthday celebrations in June. We are privileged that the Prince of Darkness can help us mark this momentous milestone in style and it’s guaranteed to be a night to remember. Ozzy has been the mainstay of rock music. He’s a much-loved, larger-than-life personality, and it is only fitting that we will be honoring Ozzy with the prestigious Legend Award at this year’s Kerrang! Awards.”
Ozzy Osbourne has spent the last three months waiting to watch his wife Sharon’s new U.S. chat show after expecting the programme to air on the same day she shot the pilot.
Sharon Osbourne filmed the first episode of The Talk with co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert and actresses Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete over the summer (10) and the Black Sabbath frontman was so sure the show would go out live, he sat in front of the TV and patiently waited.
Sharon laughs, “He was watching at home, clicking (through the TV channels)!” The Talk finally premiered on the small screen on Monday afternoon (18Oct10) – but Ozzy had to race home from Los Angeles airport to catch the show after flying in from Japan.
Speaking on the programme on Monday, Sharon said, “My husband is landing at LAX now and he’s rushing home to watch… He’s (been) touring in Japan.”
