She is no stranger to the Grammys stage, and this year she’s back again!
Pop star Katy Perry, has just been added to the list of performers at the 2012 Grammy Awards.
This will be Katy’s first post-split U.S. performance, since husband Russell Brand shockingly filed for divorce last year.
Earlier this year she had been scheduled to perform at the People’s Choice Awards, but canceled the planned appearance after the divorce filing.
Perry is nominated for two Grammys this year.
Her feel-good track ‘Firework’ is up for single of the year, while her single ‘Teenage Dream’ is up for Best Pop Solo Performance.
With the nominations and a performance, it looks to be a big night for Katy Perry!
Katy Perry will be hosting the 1 Oak At The Mirage grand opening in Las Vegas on January 27.
The event—a charity fundraiser for the GiveLove charity—will see Perry joined by J. Molinari jewelry designers Markus Molinari andJason Arasheben and the recording artist Ferras. Proceeds from the event benefit the charity’s efforts to provide temporary housing solutions and sanitation systems in earthquake-stricken Haiti.
The opening marks Perry’s first appearance since announcing her split from British comedian Russell Brand, after which she pulled out of her appearance at the People’s Choice Awards earlier this month. A source near Perry told Celebuzz.com: “This event was in the works before the divorce, but she wouldn’t miss this one.”
Added Eli Pacino, managing partner of 1 Oak: “Markus Molinari & Katy Perry are best friends, coming together to bring awareness to an amazing cause GiveLove.org.”
