Neil Patrick Harris will join Kelly Ripa as guest cohost of Live! with Kelly for a week of shows, Nov. 28 to Dec. 2.
The How I Met Your Mother star has filled in for Regis Philbin before on multiple occasions. Harris follows Jerry Seinfeld as the second guest cohost for the morning program after Philbin’s last show on Nov. 18. Seinfeld will host Nov. 21-23.
Guests stopping by Live! during Harris’ turn include Betty White, Maya Rudolph, Marcia Cross, Molly Sims, Angie Harmon and Kristen Johnson.
As Regis Philbin prepares to depart his long-running talk show on November 18, 2011, the staff of “LIVE! with Regis and Kelly” has put together a spectacular send-off, with favorite guests, musical tributes and an hour-long final show commemorating Philbin’s nearly three decades on “LIVE!”
Leading up to the big finale, daily themed pieces will showcase Philbin’s top moments, classic memories many viewers will remember, and the most entertaining highlights from the past 28 seasons of “LIVE!”
During his final week, beginning November 14, some of Philbin’s favorite guests and friends will stop by to share their personal recollections of years of visits to the show and to wish him well, including David Letterman (Nov. 16), Donald Trump (Nov. 15), Don Rickles (Nov. 14), Kathie Lee Gifford (Nov. 17) and Jimmy Fallon (Nov. 14). In addition, every day there will be a special musical tribute featuring singers such as Tony Bennett, Bret Michaels and Josh Groban, and several unexpected musical performances.
On November 18, Philbin’s final “LIVE!” will be a not-to-be-missed hour-long tribute, a moving show jam-packed with surprises for Philbin and the audience. In addition, Philbin will reflect on his tenure with the popular morning program, and share his thoughts as he moves on to new show business adventures.

The New York Yankees have invited television icon and “LIVE! with Regis and Kelly” host Regis Philbin to be honored with the ceremonial first pitch on Monday, September 19, 2011, prior to the 1:05 p.m. game vs. the Minnesota Twins at Yankee Stadium.
The Yankees are honoring the Emmy-winning New Yorker in recognition of his nearly three decades as host of LIVE, which originated in 1983 as a local New York program. Twenty-nine seasons later, LIVE is one of the most successful shows in daytime television history. The honor comes as Philbin prepares to leave the program, with his last day on air scheduled for November 18, 2011.
A native of the Bronx, Philbin is a lifetime Yankees fan who grew up in the shadow of Yankee Stadium. Fans of LIVE have known well his highs and lows, triumphs and tribulations as he has lived through every game of every season of his beloved Bronx Bombers.
