Cher Signs Development Deal With Logo Network

Cher is making a return to TV after inking a development deal with cable channel Logo.

Executives at the channel, which is aimed at the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) audience, announced the deal during the network’s Television Critics Association presentation on Saturday, revealing the singer is working on a top-secret project.

Logo Senior Vice President Brent Zacky remained tight-lipped over whether Cher will star in the new show, but indicated she is collaborating with comedy writer Ron Zimmerman on a pilot script set in early 1960’s Hollywood.

He tells The Hollywood Reporter, “We read some of the stuff that Cher and Ron (Zimmerman) had written and it was really terrific. We came up with an idea set in Hollywood in the early ’60s and we’re very excited to see how we get through the process. The deal is brand-new and we’re just getting started on the project.”

The singer/actress was a television fixture in the 1970’s, most notably as half of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour with then-husband Sonny Bono.

Justin Bieber Fans Get Angry With Disney, Bieber Gets New Jesus Tattoo

Justin Bieber fans are enraged with Disney after their flagship channel made a comment recently about the pop idol. The channel made the ‘Beliebers’ furious after calling Justin Bieber a girl.
According to The Examiner, the channel which has also made Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Miley Cyrus famous, made a joke about a girl looking like Bieber on the show ‘Jessie’. This lead to thousands of fans on Twitter slamming the channel and starting a ‘Disney is pathetic’ trend. This is not the first time Disney has sparked outrage. In a recent episode of ‘Shake it Up,’ a joke about eating disorders angered former Disney star Demi Lovato who has publicly suffered with an eating disorder. After Lovato expressed her feelings on Twitter, the network soon apologised for the comment and removed the episode from being aired. Time will only tell how the Bieber fans will continue their tirade against Disney.
In other news, Justin Bieber has been spotted with some new religious ink. Both him and his father had already got the name ‘Jesus’ tattooed on their torsos but Bieber was quick to show off his new stamp in Los Angeles yesterday (7th Jan 2012). This time, he got the face of Jesus himself on his calf, to add to the bird which is already on his hip.
Justin Bieber’s new album ‘Believe’ is slated to be released this spring (2012).
