‘Great Gatsby’ Trailer Released

An official trailer has been released for director Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” featuring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film also stars Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan and in the trailer Maguire shares dialogue over scenes of a lavish party in the roaring ’20’s. “New York, 1922,” Maguire says. “The tempo of the city had changed sharply, the buildings were higher, the parties were bigger, the morals were looser and the liquor was cheaper. The restlessness approached hysteria.”

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s track “No Church in the Wild” is heard in the background as revelers shake the dance floor surrounded by balloons and confetti. A cover of U2’s “Love is Blindness” by Jack White is also featured in the trailer.
