Get ready for the true blue Sumrfmania! Sony Pictures Entertainment to release ‘The Smurfs 2’ on August 2.
Mumbai: Beat the monsoon blues as the most adorable and widely popular blue Belgian friends are back to spread their magic on the big screen. Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is all set to release live action/animated family blockbuster comedy, The Smurfs 2 in 3D on August 2, 2013 in India. The film will be released in English & Hindi in all key metros. It’s a sequel to the 2011 film The Smurfs and based on the characters and works of Belgian comics artist Peyo. In this sequel the friendly blue creatures from mushroom houses promise to entertain their fans withmore mischief and adventure. In this installment Director Raja Gosnell introduces two new characters, the Naughties, Hackus and Vexy.
The film stars Neil Patrick Harris, Brendan Gleeson, Jayma Mays, with Katy Perry as Smurfette and Hank Azaria as Gargamel. Joining the voice cast are Christina Ricci and JB Smoove as Vexy and Hackus.
Pop star Katy Perry secretly recorded back-up vocals for Britney Spears’ new smurfs song Ooh La La.
The Firework hitmaker, who reprises her role as Smurfette in animated movie sequel Smurfs 2, has revealed she is featured on the track her frequent collaborator Bonnie McKee wrote for Britney, which plays over the end credits of the new film.
Perry says, “Me and Bonnie secretly did some background vocals on that song. So maybe listen for our voices.”
Katie and Britney posed for pictures together on the red carpet at the weekend premiere and the Toxic singer later revealed on Twitter.com it was their first time meeting – but it won’t be their last.
Spears wrote, “So great to see you Smurfette @katyperry! Can’t wait for our Vegas date.”
Britney is planning a residency in Sin City and it seems Perry might be joining her onstage!
Earlier today, pop icon Britney Spears premiered her new single ”Ooh La La” on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. The single is available today as a bundle with the debut single from brand new artist G.R.L. entitled Vacation via Kemosabe Kids/RCA Records. Both tracks will be featured on the soundtrack for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Animations highly-anticipated family comedy The Smurfs 2 entitled, The Smurfs 2 (Music From and Inspired by), which will be released on July 23rd.
Pop icon Britney Spears will release a song for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Animation’s highly anticipated family comedy The Smurfs™ 2, entitled “Ooh La La,” via Kemosabe / RCA Records. “Ooh La La,” which will play at the end credits of the film, was written by Lukasz Gottwald (Dr. Luke), Joshua Coleman (Ammo), Henry Walter (Cirkut), Bonnie McKee, Jacob Kasher Hindlin (J Kash), Lola Blanc and Fransisca Hall and produced by Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut for Prescription Songs. The Smurfs 2, the sequel to the hit hybrid live action/animated film that took in over $560 million at the worldwide box office in 2011, is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2013.
