Ke$ha to Receive Humane Society Award

Pop star Ke$ha will be honored for her animal advocacy work by The Humane Society of the United States.

The Tik Tok hitmaker, who became the organization’s first Global Ambassador last year, has always been vocal about animal rights issues, recently calling on fans to help protest against the commercial slaughter of seals in Canada.

And now the 25-year-old will receive the prestigious Wyler Award during the Genesis Awards Benefit Gala in Los Angeles on March 23 for her tireless efforts to bring about change.

She says, “It means so much to me to be recognized by The Humane Society of the United States because advocating for animals is second nature to me. My affinity with animals and the natural world inspires me and my music. I don’t understand how anyone can justify abusing or exploiting animals, and as long as it continues, I intend to keep talking about it.”

Meanwhile, executive Beverly Kaskey insists the decision to recognize the singer was a no-brainer: “The animals have a bold and passionate ambassador in Ke$ha, who is not known for holding back on what she thinks.

“The Humane Society of the United States is grateful to Ke$ha for informing her millions of fans worldwide about new and ongoing threats to our fellow creatures, while connecting them to resources that enable them to take action.”

Ke$Ha Taunts Police: "come and get me if you can find me."

Pop star Ke$ha has taunted police in California after posting a naughty photo of herself urinating in the street online.

The Tik Tok singer tweeted a snap to followers on Wednesday morning and invited cops to “come and get me if you can find me.”

The photo of the star bent over with her trousers pulled down appears to have been taken by herself.

Had she been spotted, Ke$ha would have been slapped with a $270 fine.

Ke$ha Stage Set Catches on Fire During Concert

Pop star Ke$ha  was forced to cut short the first concert on her North American tour on Saturday (July 30) after her stage set caught on fire.

The Tik Tok hitmaker kicked off the summer (11) leg of her Get Sleazy tour in Georgia this weekend, but the trek got off to a rough start when a lighting rig burst into flames towards the end of her performance.

Due to safety precautions, the singer had to shut down the show early, but Ke$ha remained upbeat about the incident and took the opportunity to warn her tourmates LMFAO to get ready for a crazy ride.

Taking to her Twitter.com account to share the scary story, she wrote, “@LMFAO UM. FIRST NIGHT OF TOUR AND THE PLACE CATCHES ON FIRE. THIS TOUR IS BEYOND.WORDS.ILL.”

We R Who We R

The singer will play more than 25 shows across the continent before wrapping up the tour in Phoenix, Arizona on 20 September (11).
