U.S. actor Paul Walker, star of “The Fast and the Furious” movies, and a second person died Saturday when Walker’s Porsche crashed and burned, TMZ reported.
The entertainment news website said the single-car accident happened in Santa Clarita, Calif. TMZ said sources connected to Walker said the 40-year-old actor was in the sports car when the driver lost control and slammed into a post or a tree and caught fire.
It wasn’t clear who was driving or how the accident happened, TMZ said. The name of the second occupant also was not known.
TMZ said its sources said Walker was in Santa Clarita for a car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort and was taking friends for rides in his new Porsche GT.
A spokesman for Walker confirmed the actor was leaving the charity event when the accident occurred, TMZ said.
Walker also appeared in “Varsity Blues,” “Eight Below,” “Into the Blue,” “She’s All That” and “Takers.” His television credits included the National Geographic Channel’s “Expedition Great White” series.
Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe has threatened to help a fan of the King of Pop kill his disgraced physician.
Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of administering the propofol dose that killed Jackson in 2009 and he has spent the past two years behind bars. He was released earlier this month.
And after the medic revealed in a recent interview that he and his former boss would joke about Rowe’s looks, the former nurse, who is the mother of the late pop star’s two eldest children, has hit back.
She tells TMZ.com that Murray should watch what he says and look out, because within 18 months “a Jackson fan will shoot him dead, and I’d buy the bullet. I wouldn’t shoot him but I’d buy the bullet.”
Commenting on Murray’s remarks about her looks, she adds, “If I had a dog as ugly as him, I’d shave its a**, make it walk backwards and put a wig on it… At least I can breed. He can’t even write prescriptions anymore.”
Andy Kaufman‘s brother has fueled the mystery surrounding the comedian’s death by claiming the funnyman is still alive, and even fathered a daughter after he is said to have lost his battle with lung cancer. The Taxi star passed away at the age of 35 in 1984, but fans have long speculated that his death was a hoax.
Rumors about Kaufman’s fate resurfaced on Monday after his brother Michael gave a bizarre speech during the annual Andy Kaufman Awards in New York City. Michael told the audience that he believes the funnyman faked his own death, and alleged that he discovered an essay written by Andy which included details on how he planned to pull it off. He also claimed the letter instructed him to go to a specific restaurant on Christmas Eve, 1999, upon which an anonymous man handed him another missive, which he read aloud to the New York City crowd.
Andy allegedly wrote “everything was great in his life and he just wanted to get away from being Andy Kaufman,” adding that he had fallen in love with a woman and the couple were raising a daughter together. At that point, Michael shocked the audience by bringing a young woman onto stage and introduced her as the 24-year-old daughter Andy spoke of in the letter.
In video footage taken at Monday’s event, obtained by TMZ.com, the unnamed woman backed Michael’s story and claimed Andy has been living in secret as a stay-at-home dad. She also claimed that Andy originally agreed to come out of hiding after 29 years to attend the awards, but backed out at the last minute. The Hollywood Reporter has since contacted Michael, who claimed the mystery woman was impossible to reach for further questions.
If Kaufman was still alive today, he would be 64 years old.
(UPI) — A 24-year-old woman claiming to be Andy Kaufman‘s daughter said at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York the performer faked his death from cancer in 1984.
TMZ reported the unidentified woman made the statement Monday at the 9th annual Andy Kaufman Awards show, which was presided over by Andy’s brother, Michael.
She also said her father had planned to attend the event and explain the hoax himself but backed out at the last moment.
The woman said he faked his death when he was 35 to get out of the public eye, then got married and became a stay-at-home-dad.
She also said he is excited about the awards show named for him and watches footage from the ceremonies on YouTube.
Michael Kaufman said during Monday’s awards ceremony he found a letter from Andy explaining his plan to fake his death.
TMZ said Internet records do not list a death date for Andy Kaufman, but instead suggest he was living in Cook County, Ill., then Westchester County, N.Y., as late as 2001.
The comedian and former “Taxi” co-star was well-known for his elaborate pranks, leading many of his fans to suspect his death was a hoax.

Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine insists that she does not regret suing AEG Live executives over her son’s untimely death four years ago.
Last week, a 12-person jury concluded that although AEG bosses hired Dr. Conrad Murray as Jackson’s personal physician ahead of his ill-fated This Is It gigs, they were not guilty of the superstar’s death as the doctor was not “unfit or incompetent to perform the work for which he was hired”.
Although the ruling means AEG Live chiefs do not face a compensation bill, Katherine Jackson insists she stands by her decision in filing the wrongful death lawsuit against the concert promoters, according to editors at TMZ.com.
A source tells the website, “Any reports that Katherine Jackson is feeling remorse for filing the wrongful death lawsuit are completely untrue. Mrs. Jackson feels the lawsuit is very important, and that so far it has proven that AEG did in fact hire Dr. Murray.”
Jackson’s mother is reportedly planning to meet with the jurors in the case before deciding whether to appeal against the verdict.
The Thriller hitmaker died in June, 2009 from an accidental overdose of anaesthetic.
Britney Spears is gearing up for her upcoming Las Vegas residency, putting in a lot of time at the gym to make sure she gives her fans the show they pay for. Spears has signed a two-year deal with Planet Hollywood and it’s now being revealed how much she will be making.
The singer, whose new single “Work Bitch” leaked a day early, will get paid a whopping $310,000 per show, putting on 48 shows a year. That amounts to about $15 million per year.
Spears’ residency will begin in December, and producers want it to be more modern than other Vegas shows. A source told TMZ they want it to be a “cool, hip club-like show.”
Although Spears will make about 60 percent of the projected $508,514 profit, Celine Dion reportedly earns $476,000 per show for her Vegas residency. She also does about 70 shows a year.
Nicole Kidman was knocked down in the streets of New York this week whilst arriving back from the Calvin Klein show as the city hosts New York Fashion Week. The fashionista was minding her own business as she arrived back at her hotel, the Carlyle Hotel, when a freelance photographer came bombing down the pavement and almost had a head on collision with the Oscar-winner.
Although the incident turned out to not be so serious after all, Nicole was left infuriated by the photographer, named Carl Wu, and was apparently threatening to sue him for his recklessness. Speaking to TMZ, witnesses at the scene say that they saw Wu come hurtling down the pavement towards Kidman and seemed to step on his brakes at the last minute, which failed to bring him to a stop and so he was forced to dive off the moving bike, taking Kidman out along the way.
Actor Alec Baldwin has been involved in another altercation with a photographer.
The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday in New York and there are conflicting reports surrounding who the aggressor was.
According to TMZ.com and sources close to the couple, Baldwin and his wife Hilaria were grabbing something to eat when the shutterbug became overzealous.
However, the photographer insists he did not approach the couple aggressively.
He tells WENN, “I was taking video and asking questions. Ultimately I was doing my job.”
Baldwin’s newborn daughter, Carmen Gabriela who was born on Friday, was not with the actor at the time of the incident.
The actor and the photographer, who both admitted to pushing each other, have decided not to press charges and the police have reportedly closed the case.
This isn’t Baldwin’s first run-in with paparazzi. In June, he was accused of hitting a photographer, after obtaining a marriage licence in New York.
