Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have fuelled ongoing rumours they are secretly dating after they were photographed in an intimate clinch in New York on Sunday night (April 17).
Water For Elephants, starring Christoph Waltz, Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon, opens in theaters Friday, April 22. The drama tells the story of an unlikely romance between a veterinary school student and a circus performer. Jacob and Marlena bond over their mutual love for a special elephant named Rosie, but their love for each other is challenged by Marlena’s cruel husband, the circus’s head trainer August.
Robert Pattinson admits he is going to miss playing his Twilight character Edward Cullen. Pattinson recently finished filming on the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn.
“It does feel like a breakup,” he tells the Chicago Sun-Times of wrapping up the series. “I do love the guy, it’s been amazing to play the same character through so many adventures and I’m going to miss him. It’s like the last day of high school.”
“It’s so strange because my life has changed so much over these years, but Twilight and Edward Cullen will always be a part of me,” he added. “It’s been my whole life. My whole 20s. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Breaking Dawn Part 1, which also stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, is scheduled to hit theaters in November. Pattinson appears next opposite Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants.
Robert Pattinson believes in love at first sight.
The ‘Water for Elephants’ actor – who is dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart – thinks people can fall for each other as soon as they meet and says if there’s not an initial attraction, it’s hard to ever develop feelings for that person.
He told MTV News: “I think people can fall in love at first sight. I think pretty much all people who love each other, had some kind of thing at first sight. I mean, there has to be some kind of moment where you, like, feel a different energy around someone.
“Generally, if you don’t notice someone ever, you’re probably not going to fall in love with them.”
As well as believing in love at first sight, the 24-year-old heartthrob recently revealed he has a “romantic soul” and could never have sex with someone he didn’t love.
Robert said: “There is the idea of the saving love, I believe it. I’m not mushy but I have a romantic soul. Having grown up with two older sisters I have a deep respect for women. Sex and feeling for me go hand in hand.
“I’m not interested in casual relationships, I need to know people.”
Pulling from its extensive Robert Pattinson library dating back to the first Twilight movie, MTV News will lead up to the premiere of “MTV First: Robert Pattinson” with a five day countdown of favorite MTV moments with the star. Fans should check in every day to see and comment on the latest clips.
