Everything about Lady Gaga is always over the top and exciting, but this morning Gaga went “Goo Goo” over her “Favorite New Yorker” Elvis Duran of The Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show. Gaga dressed to kill in a black plastic ensemble, sky high Versace stilettos, and a little black veil. She was thrilled to walk into the Z-100 Tribeca NYC studio, showing much love for Elvis Duran and the Z-100 morning crew.
There has always been an instant chemistry between the leading morning radio host and the global superstar. Gaga, who has a special place in her heart for Z100, openly shares that she grew up listening to Elvis Duran and will never forget how supportive he’s been throughout her music career. Duran first met Gaga at a Jingle Ball concert in December 2008 where they instantly gravitated to each other and have had some amazing interviews since. Gaga got emotional when she thanked Duran for being the figurehead of the station that has played her new recent hit “The Edge of Glory” the most out of any morning radio station. The song has special meaning to Gaga, as she explained its significance was about her grandfather and reminded her of Clarence Clemons, the Sax player in the song who had recently passed away. Every time she hears the song on her home town radio station Z-100 she breaks into tears.
The conversation was naturally upbeat, unfiltered and full of excitement as the radio host and star discussed everything from Gaga’s take of the new gay marriage bill passing in New York, to her upcoming performance at the “iheartradio” Festival in Las Vegas, NV this September, to sharing her delicious and very secret Italian meatball and sauce recipe. To top off the meatball discussion, show co-host Greg T. surprised the superstar with his very own Gaga inspired meat dress, which she thought was hilarious!
